The V&A’s temporary exhibition Faberge in London: Romance and Revolution explored the master goldsmith, Carl Fabergé – the man behind the internationally recognised firm symbolising Russian craftsmanship and luxury.

The Faberge exhibition showcased over 200 objects across three main sections. The gallery fit-out created beautiful and fascinating surroundings to express those amazing objects. MJS was appointed for the joinery works, site management, installation & planning as well as coordination of sub-contractor packages: AV, electrical and lighting, graphics, decorating. A very challenging programme in combination with the complexity of design required us to mobilise a large team, well experienced in working in a historic and highly secured building.

The stretched ceilings, astonishing colour scheme, mirrored cladding, bespoke printed carpets and highly detailed joinery created an amazing space, reflecting the precision and artistry of the spectacular Faberge collection.

A quintessence of V&A class and quality, which MJS could proudly contribute to.
